About IASE

The International Association for Statistical Education (IASE), functions as the international umbrella organisation for statistics education. It seeks to improve statistics education at all levels from elementary (primary) school through to the training of professionals, and to increase the uptake of statistics education world wide. IASE fosters international cooperation, and stimulates discussion and research. It disseminates ideas, strategies, research findings, materials and information using publications, international conferences, and the IASE website.

The IASE is one of the many sections of the ISI (International Statistics Institute). The ISI, officially established in 1885, has a global reach among statisticians and those interested in the field of statistics. It is reported as one of the oldest active scientific associations throughout the world today.

IASE has approximately 500 members, 20% of whom belong to the ISI. The membership is largely made up of teachers, lecturers and professors of statistics, applied and government statisticians and education researchers.

Join IASE to network with the world-wide statistics education community and obtain discounted registration to all international activities of IASE and associated national activities.

IASE Satellite Conferences

Along with ICOTS, the Satellite conferences are some of the highlights of the statistical educator's calendar. Taking place every two years educators from around the world get together to share their passion, expertise and experiences in statistics education.

Traditionally IASE Satellite conferences are themed and are held in close proximity to the ISI Congress.
